BlueCross welcomes Royal Commission interim report
BlueCross welcomes the Interim Report released yesterday by the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.
As a leading aged care provider in Victoria, we are committed to providing the highest quality care to older people and giving them a greater voice in how they wish to be supported.
BlueCross has been actively monitoring the information presented at the Royal Commission since it began so that we are well placed to apply the learnings from now, well before the final report is issued in November 2020.
We are currently reviewing the Interim Report closely and will reflect on the main concerns and issues raised by older Australians and their loved ones, and the issues impacting the sector more broadly so that we can consider how we may further improve the care and support we provide to our residents, clients and their families.
While we are disheartened by the shocking stories of abuse and neglect, we know that an overwhelming majority of aged care workers work very hard to deliver quality services to seniors who rely on them every day.
We stand by our commitment to support our residents and clients to live the best possible life every day and are proud of our people who continue to embody the BlueCross values of kindness, excellence, choice and safety.
