Robert Putamorsi appointed permanent CEO of BlueCross
The Board of BlueCross has announced the permanent appointment of Robert Putamorsi as the Chief Executive Officer of the company, following a one-year period as Interim CEO.
Dr Julie Caldecott, Chair of Board, says that the board of directors were very pleased to make Mr Putamorsi’s appointment permanent.
"Rob was appointed to the interim role last August and since that time has overseen a period of great change for the company including the integration with Sapphire Care following a merger, company rebrand, and establishment of a new Executive Leadership Team," says Dr Caldecott.
At a time when the aged care sector is undergoing changes as a result of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, new aged care standards and funding pressures on the sector, Mr Putamorsi has been instrumental in leading the company through the reforms.
"The Board has particularly appreciated Rob’s strong leadership and looks forward to continuing to work with him as BlueCross enters a new and exciting time in its history, and taking advantage of our position as a quality provider of aged care services," says Dr Caldecott.
"We also look forward to the Board, Rob and the whole Executive Team continuing its work together with staff, to ensure BlueCross provides the best possible services and care for our residents and clients."
Prior to his Interim CEO role, Mr Putamorsi has been part of BlueCross’ senior leadership team since October 2017 where he was the Executive General Manager of Business Development, Property and Infrastructure. He joined BlueCross with more than 20 years of experience in a number of senior roles in finance, commercial, operations and business development.
Mr Putamorsi holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Deakin University and is both a Licensed Real Estate Agent and a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA). Over many years in the industry, Mr Putamorsi has developed an extensive knowledge of both the aged care and retirement village living sectors, making him well placed to lead BlueCross in achieving its future growth and expansion plans.
