Quality aged care and social lifestyle in Cheltenham
FeaturesBlueCross Autumdale has recently been refurbished with brand new carpets and creamy tones through most of its sun-dappled rooms.
BlueCross Autumdale has a spacious dining room and large main lounge, which feature chandeliers, Tudor style window panes and a warming fireplace. This inviting and comfortable space is at the heart of Autumdale.
The residence also comprises a reading and games area, a non-denominational chapel and a smaller sitting room. Automatic doors open out to the fountain, bbq, roses, lavender bushes and box hedges of the sunny central courtyard garden that is flanked by the two residential wings.
BlueCross Autumdale provides accommodation with 45 Standard rooms. Every room has a view of either the central courtyard or secure perimeter garden. With Autumdale’s easy and intimate floor plan, the peaceful rooms are all set close to the common areas.
Descriptions of the type of rooms and the associated costs are detailed on the link below.
To ensure the highest possible quality care, our Residence Manager oversees a team of dedicated and qualified care professionals, including a Clinical Care Coordinator, nurses and personal carers.
Our care model is flexible and responsive to individual care needs even as they change, including the provision of specialised nursing care and palliative care if needed. This person-centred approach is designed to support each resident to maintain their dignity and independence wherever possible.
We are committed to consistency and quality of care and implemented an initiative in 2016 to reduce (and ultimately cease) use of agency staff in our residences. This means our nurses and carers are regular staff who know the residents and are familiar with their needs and preferences.
We also work with a range of partners on programs to support social, physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual wellbeing to ensure the best overall health outcomes for each resident.
LifestyleAt BlueCross Autumdale we understand that a happy home is also a place in which its occupants enjoy good quality of life as well as good quality care.
Our well-developed leisure and lifestyle program is designed to engage residents and is packed with activities such as gardening, walking, physiotherapy, knitting, sing-a-longs and outings.
Residents who like to remain physically and mentally active will find an air hockey table, a bookcase brimming with games and books and a piano on which to practise favourite tunes.
For those people who love a good cappuccino, there are two self-serve coffee machines in the dining room. In the courtyard outside, two covered pergolas are the ideal spots to have a coffee with fellow residents, read or enjoy time with family.
BlueCross Autumdale offers an on-site hair salon to help keep you looking your best on a fee for service basis.
Homemade and nutritious meals are freshly prepared by our onsite chef, to ensure a healthy and satisfying diet is maintained.
BlueCross residences provide a high level of hotel services, with laundry, gardening, housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance all included.
