Becoming a volunteer with BlueCross is a rewarding experience and has a positive impact on our residents and clients. As a volunteer you will provide a vital contribution to our ageing community and help make a difference in someone’s life.
BlueCross volunteers have the opportunity to meet and work with a wide range of people and participate in a variety of services and activities. It is this diversity that makes volunteering an interesting and worthwhile role.
Our volunteers are highly respected and valued by staff, families and residents and become part of the BlueCross family. Their support enhances our Leisure and Lifestyle programs and helps to enrich the lives of our residents.
But it is not only the residents who gain so much, volunteers experience a sense of satisfaction that comes from helping others and giving back to the community, and gain the opportunity to learn new skills and meet likeminded people.
Our volunteer program
We always welcome enthusiastic, passionate and committed volunteers. Hours are completely flexible and negotiable – we appreciate any contribution you can offer. Experience is not necessary, all you need is a willingness to share your time with our lovely residents and clients doing activities such as:
- One on one visits with our residents – they have some amazing experiences to share
- Art and craft groups
- Games and activities
Or you may have a special talent that you would like to share with us.
BlueCross is proud to be a member of Volunteering Victoria.
