The client can have as much or as little role in developing the service plan and organising the services as they wish and systems can be put in place to meet the flexibility needs of each client and their family or carer.

Our focus is on wellbeing, not just the practical but also the whole needs of the person. This means not just providing the basics of personal and home care, looking at just the physical needs and keeping things clean, but listening to the emotional and social needs of someone too.  Looking outside the square of a written plan of what you need but also asking what you want to maintain an active, social and happy lifestyle.

With specialised staff we can tailor an individual suite of services to meet particular physical, clinical, cultural and social needs. 

Person centred care planning is all about keeping people physically, emotionally and spiritually well, focussing on a person’s capacities and abilities. When listening and understanding information about the person we ask questions and undertake assessments holistically. This requires us to focus on physical, emotional, intellectual, occupational, community, social, happiness and traditional/spiritual/ cultural wellness.

We are not new at this! Our quality has evolved from experience.  BlueCross Community and Residential Services has been providing care and support within aged care and the community since 1993.  Care at Home supports over 1500 clients in their homes, including 75 Government funded Community Aged Care Packages (CACP). BlueCross also operates residences throughout Victoria and accommodates over 1400 residents.
