Blue Cross Hansworth residence in Mulgrave is a welcoming home providing 90 places for people with low care needs. We offer residents ‘Ageing in Place’, the unique opportunity to live in one place although care needs may increase. One wing provides appropriate care for people living with dementia in a secure environment.

This modern and spacious residence offers tastefully decorated rooms, complete with television and telephone connections, hydronic heating and ceiling fans. Emphasis is on natural sunlight and a bright and happy atmosphere. A few rooms have inter-connecting doors to enable the creation of two room suites ideally suited to the accommodation of married couples.

Hansworth has a range of programs designed to encourage participation and engagement of all our residents. The Hansworth bus takes residents on regular outings and there are also activities such as arts and crafts and gentle exercise programs arranged by the Leisure and Lifestyle Manager. Waverley Gardens shopping centre is also conveniently located adjacent to the residence, enabling residents to easily get to the shops.

We have a chef who prepares a menu of delicious, nutritious meals using fres produce every day. All meals can be designed to meet any dietary or cultural preference - but most of all we like to prepare meals people will enjoy. Morning and afternoon tea is also served to residents throughout the lounges.

We also offer responsive and planned respite options of short-term stays to support families who need a break.
