Blue Cross Community and Residential Services operates 75 Federal Government funded Community Care Packages in metropolitan Melbourne through its Community Care division.
To be eligible for these funded packages prospective clients must be assessed by their local Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) as needing the level of care and support normally provided under this system. Clients who are not in receipt of an appropriate ACAS assessment can often be accommodated as a private client and pay negotiated fees to Blue Cross Community Care for professional case management and service delivery.
Blue Cross Community Care provides a range of innovative services for its clients. Individual packages will vary according to the particular needs of clients. The services that we most often provide include assistance with dressing, washing and laundry, arranging social activities, transport to medical appointments, control and administration of medication and a range of other services required to maintain the client at home. An integral part of our commitment to quality care delivery is the provision of a Case Manager on call.
