What to bring on your tour

Touring a residence is the best way to decide if it is the right place for you or your loved one. It is your opportunity to speak with a Client Services Manager about the admission process and get a feel for the environment, the staff, the care and the lifestyle on offer.

To make the most of your time and ensure the process is informative and relevant to your needs, we recommend people come prepared with the following:

  • Aged care client record (ACCR) - this is obtained through an aged care assessment
  • Income and Assets Assessment - if you have completed one
  • Your personal checklist of things that are important to you -
refer to our Choosing a Residence page for more information
    on what to consider
  • Any questions you may have about BlueCross, the admission process, the residence or aged care in general
  • Documentation related to Power of Attorney

Where possible, we do recommend the person seeking care attends the tour to assist with the transition process.
