Blue Cross Community and Residential Services has been providing care and support within the aged care sector since 1993.  Offering both residential and community care services, Blue Cross operates 21 aged care residences accommodating over 1300 residents, and provides community care to over 1500 clients including 75 Community Aged Care Packages .

Now one of Victoria’s leading aged care providers,Blue Cross is committed to creating an environment where residents and clients feel engaged, enjoy life ad have fun. Blue Cross Directors

David Eccles
Chairman of the Board and Managing Director

David is one of the founders of Blue Cross since 1993. He has extensive experience in the aged care industry and leads the company.  David oversees the Financial, IT and Maintenance departments as well as building developments. David is actively involved in ensuring that our STARFish Principles are supported and embraced by the Board

Carol Allen
Director and CEO

Carol has worked as a CEO in the community sector for over 20 years and been a Director of aged care services both residential and community for the last 5 years.  Carol joined the Blue Cross Board in 2005. Carol oversees the operations of Residential and Community Care, Marketing and Human Resources. Carol is available to support facilities with resident and staff meetings and will become involved if required for complaint management.  

She is also the president of the StarBright Learning Exchange, a not for profit organisation set up to establish a learning exchange with early childhood educators in Australia and South Africa to benefit young orphaned African children who have been infected or affected by HIV/AIDS and is on the Board of Gowrie Victoria.

Ernest Medina
Director & Business Development Manager.

Ernest  has an Economics and Accounting background.  He has had 15 years experience as a Director of Project Finance for a large international bank and has considerable experience in finance and business development. Ernest joined the Blue Cross Board in 2005 and has been involved in the aged care sector as a Company Director providing home care, assisted living and aged care services for the last 5 years.

Phillip Eccles
Non Executive Director

Phillip is one of the founding Directors of Blue Cross and is Managing Director of Eccles Realty, a family owned business that has been involved in aged care transactions for over 55 years. He is also the Managing Director of AIM Software and has extensive expertise in the financial markets.
